Comebacking Fil-Chinese Actress Julianne Lee Enjoying Her Role In 'Prinsesa Ng Buhay Ko'

FIL-CHINESE ACTRESS JULIANNE LEE started her showbiz career in 2004 as one of the teen regulars in the horror show, “Kakabakaba”, on GMA-7. She was paired with JC De Vera in “Love to Love” and “Joyride”. She also did some movies, like “Let the Love Begin”, “Ako Legal Wife” and “Mulawin”. Then she had to leave for Melbourne, Australia for her college studies and she majored in nutrition for diabetics. Her last show on GMA was “Sugo” with Richard Gutierrez and Heart Evangelista.

“It’s in Melbourne where I realized na acting talaga ang gusto ko,” she says. “Sobra kong na-miss ang showbiz. Kaya ngayon, hindi ko naman napa-practice ang college course ko dahil nasa showbiz na uli ako.”

She returned to Manila and became engaged in the real estate business for a while, but she really wanted to act, so early this year, she made a showbiz comeback in the Bianca King afternoon series, “Maghihintay Pa Rin”. Right after it ended, she was lucky enough to be told to join the cast of the primetime show, “Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko”.

“I play the business associate of Renz Fernandez,” she says. “Yung mommy niya, played by Carmi Martin, pilit akong nirereto sa kanya para maging girlfriend niya. But I’m aware na si Renz is already on with Kris Bernal. Hindi ako contravida rito dahil I even tolerate yung relationship nina Renz and Kris.”

Now managed by GMA Artist Center, she’s hoping to be given bigger roles in the future and she also prays that she can make movies once again.
