Enchong Dee Opts To Rest For A While After 'Muling Buksan Ang Puso' To Have A Vacation In China

ENCHONG DEE played the most challenging role in “Muling Buksan ang Puso” as the contravida Leonel who’s so in love with Julia Montes as Sarah, but his love is unreciprocated as Julia is in love with Enrique Gil as Francis. “I’ve grown so much as an actor because of this role,” he says. “Iba kasi ang challenge ng pagiging contravida and I think nagampanan ko naman nang maayos ang character ko. Ang layo na nga ng itinakbo ng kuwento kasi I thought si Julia ang kapatid ko but it turned out si Enrique pala talaga ang brother ko.”

Even Christopher de Leon, who plays his long lost dad, praises him. “Enchong also played my son in the movie ‘Sa’Yo Lamang’ and I could see he has improved so much as an actor,” says Boyet.

“Coming from him, it’s such an honor kasi he’s the King of Drama,” says Enchong. “I’d like to thank him kasi ang dami ko ring natutuhan sa kanya. After him, I’d also like to work with Joel Torre, Bembol Roco and Amy Austria kasi I’ve never worked with them and I know I’ll learn a lot from them kung paano sila tumagal sa pag-arte.”

And how’s his relationship with Julia now? “We’re closer than before. She can now open up to me and ask me for advice. I’ll definitely miss her ngayong patapos na ang show.”

So will he have a new soap? “Hindi na muna. Kasi right after ‘Ina Kapatid Anak’, dumiretso ako rito and sinuma ko, more than one year na akong napapanood gabi-gabi on primetime. After this, I’m going on a vacation muna with my family to Beijing and Mongolia in China. Pagbalik ko, I will start a new movie naman for Skylight Films ng Star Cinema.”
