Edu Manzano Shines As A Witty And Engaging Host In 'What's Up Doods?'

EDU MANZANO is really in his best element when he’s hosting a talk show and this is very evident in his new Saturday not so late night show on TV5, “What’s Up Doods?” So far, we’ve seen him interviewing neophyte senator Grace Poe, model Georgina Wilson, rock icon Pepe Smith and the latest is award-winning “On the Job” actor Joel Torre.l As always, Edu manages to be a witty and engaging host.

His initial episode with the “kasambahays” was funny but truly very informative. His show has entertaining but relevant portions like Praisebook (a take on Facebook), where a turon vendor donated her earnings to help victims of typhoon Maring. In Bwitter (which spoofs Twitter), people can bash and bent their ire, not necessarily on other people but on things, like dirty clothes they need to wash.

In Kaya Mo Ba, Doods, Edu takes on various kinds of jobs, like being a salon assistant in the pilot episode. Edu is used to host other talk shows like “Not So Late Night with Edu” on GMA-7 and “Late Night with Edu” on ABC-5, so he’s really at the top of this kind of game.

Last Saturday, he made Joel Torre laugh with his own version of “On the Job”, a short film called “In the Car”. Other guests were Korean actress-host Jinri Park who was linked to comedian Ramon Bautista and Brother Ed of Magic 89.9. Entertaining, hilarious but informative, “What’s Up, Doods?” is really the perfect show to cap your Saturday nights, shown at 9 PM on TV5. In the future, we hope Edu can have his three kids, Luis, Addi and Enzo, as his special guests so they can reveal how it is to have Edu as a dad.
