SO IT’S NOT true that Regal’s rom-com starring Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez will be the replacement entry in the Metro-Manila Filmfest for “Be Careful with My Heart” of Star Cinema that backed out. The MMFF rules dictate that a replacement can be selected only from the previous entries that have already been submitted before, not a totally new movie that’s just been submitted.
So now, they’re choosing “Kaleidoscope World”, a song and dance musical from iAct Productions starring Pia Pilapil, Sef Cadayona, Alma Concepcion and Yassi Pressman. Considering how impressive the big names in the star-studded cast is, we’re sure this is destined to be the topgrosser in the coming filmfest.
