“I don’t know, baka nahihirapan pa ring mag-move on ang fans ng love team namin ni Coco,” she laughs. “Up to now, active pa rin yung CocoJul fans kahit iba na rin ang kapareha niya sa show niya. Basta ako, mas focused pa rin ako sa work ko ngayon. Alam nyo naman, akong tumatayong breadwinner sa family namin kaya mas itong priority ko ngayon.”
How does she find Enrique? “We’ve worked before in ‘Shoutout’ and in two movies, ‘Strangers’ and ‘Reunion’. But dito sa ‘Muling Buksan’ kami naging closer sa tapings namin in Batangas. He’s more mature than his age. He talks a lot of sense.”
Is he good boyfriend material? “Siguro. But as of now, ang boyfriend ko, ang career ko. Lalo ngayon, dumarami ang endorsements ko. Nadagdag itong Comfit Shoes for Women.”
Comfit owners Patrick and Michelle Lao of Leapglass Corp., that also owns Michael Antonio shoes, say Julia is their personal choice as endorser. “Her youthfulness, beauty, talent, having a good sense of fun and humor fit the image we want perfectly,” says Patrick. “Our company started at the time she’s starting with ‘Mara Clara’, with just one outlet in SM North Edsa. Now, we have 12 outlets in various malls, including Cebu and Mindanao.”
“I really love their shoes kasi very stylish, comfortable and affordable, from their flats to their high heels,” says Julia. “Ang dami na nilang nabigay na shoes sa’kin that I use in my shows and the used ones, I gave them to my cousins and fans na tuwang-tuwa.”
With Judy Ann Santos’ “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala” ending soon, Julia’s “Muling Buksan” will be taking over its slot at around 10 PM to face GMA-7’s hit bayotserye, “My Husband’s Lover”. Taking “Muling Buksan’s” earlier slot will be “Got to Believe” of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. What can Julia say about this? “Decision naman po ng management yun kunsaan kami ilalagay na timeslot, so bahala na sila. I’m sure susundan naman kami ng aming loyal viewers kahit sa anong oras kami ilagay.”
