Ai Ai De Las Alas Sad That Sen. Bong Revilla Pulled Out Their Prospective Entry In The Metro Filmfest

AI AI DE LAS Alas feels sad that the film entry of Sen. Bong Revilla, “My Super Kap”, to which she was invited to join the cast, was pulled out of the Metro filmfest. “Hindi talaga yata ako nakatakdang magka-entry this year,” she says. “Buti na lang at nakatapos pa rin ako ng isang movie, yung ‘Kung Fu Divas’ namin ni Marian Rivera.”

She’s also busy with her shows for PAGCOR. “Ai’m Awesome”, her first concert series in four years. The series will be held on Aug. 16 at the Airport CF (Casino Filipino- PAGCOR Grand Theater); Aug. 24, CF Tagaytay; and Aug. 30, CF Angeles (Bingo Hall). Her special guest for the Aug. 16 and 30 shows will be Aljur Abrenica, with whom she’ll do a duet of Pink’s “Just Give Me A Reason”, while John Prats is her special guest for the Aug. 24 show. Another guest in all her shows is Pagcor artist K Menn. Other numbers to look forward to in “Ai’m Awesome” are a Rihanna medley, an audience participation portion with Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, a medley of Jennifer Lopez dance hits and a rock version of the novelty hit Pusong Bato. “Ai’m Awesome” is her first concert series in four years because since 2009, Ai-Ai has always had an entry in the yearly Metro Manila Film Festival. “Busy ako lagi sa shooting, kaya medyo mahirap din maghanap ng time na mag-prepare for a concert,” she says.

Ai-Ai promises to give her audience more than what they’ll be expecting since they haven’t seen her onstage in her own show in four years. The last time she appeared in a concert was in Vice Ganda’s Araneta Coliseum show.

“Ai’m Awesome” will be her fans’ one and only chance to watch her in concert for the remainder of 2013. Ai-Ai won’t be having her usual big concert to celebrate her birthday in November as she plans to celebrate it in the US with her children, then come December, they will all fly back to the Philippines together and spend Christmas here. She promises to pull out all the stops for the PAGCOR series because she knows how much her fans have been waiting for something like this.
