Rich Asuncion Doesn't Feel Uncomfortable Working With Ex-Bf Ervic Vijandre In 'Binoy Henyo'

RICH ASUNCION played contravida in her last two soaps with GMA-7, “Biritera” and “Aso ni San Roque”. “Kaya nga natutuwa ako dahil mabait naman ang role ko in my new soap, ‘Binoy Henyo’, which will replace ‘Home Sweet Home’ that ends this Friday,” she says. “I play Teacher Josie, ang guro ni David Remo, ang Binoy Henyo. Ako ang siyang unang makakapansin sa kanyang genius IQ. Later on, tutulungan ko ring matutong bumasa at sumulat ang nanay niyang si Sheena Halili na no read-no write dito.”

How come she was absent from showbiz for a while? “I went home to our province, Bohol. Nagbakasyon muna ako. Then I also became busy with my college studies. Gusto ko kasi talagang makatapos and have a college degree. Now, heto, busy na uli ako. Aside from ‘Binoy Henyo’, I also just finished a new movie, entry sa Sineng Pambansa in September, ‘Lauriana’, written by Ricky Lee and directed by Mel Chionglo. I play the role of Allen Dizon’s legal wife at si Bangs Garcia, who plays the title, ang baylarinang naging kabit niya.”

In “Binoy Henyo”, she’s reunited with ex-boyfriend Ervic Vijandre, who’s also making a showbiz comeback after running as councilor in Taguig last May. So how are they on the set? “Wala namang problema kasi friends pa rin naman kami. At saka ako, I don’t let my personal life get on the way of my work. Siempre, trabaho ito, e. We get along fine naman.”
