Lauren Young Is Kapuso On TV But Kapamilya & Kapatid In Movies

LAUREN YOUNG is glad that two films she did last year, “Catnip” (that won awards in ABS-CBN’s Cinema One Filmfest) and “Vesuvius”, were both accepted at the New York Asian Film Festival (along with Rico Ilarde’s “Pridyider”, “Aberya”, “The Animals” and Erik Matti’s “Rigodon”). This year, she has made another indie film, “Puti”, a thriller with Jasmine Curtis, an entry in TV5’s CineFilipino Filmfest that opens on June 26. Take note, she makes movies for the Kapamilya and Kapatid networks, but on TV, she’s a certified Kapuso as Darlene in the hit GMA Telebabad soap, “Mundo Mo’y Akin”.

This week, Lauren has found out that she’s the real daughter of Sunshine Dizon as the ugly Perlita and Louise de los Reyes as Marilyn is the real daughter of Angelika de la Cruz as Giselle. When she asked Sunshine who she’d choose between her and Louise, Sunshine couldn’t answer right away so Lauren leaves and returns to Gabby Eigenmann as Ziggy and Jaclyn Jose as Donya Charito.

Lauren tells Angelika that from that day on, Angelika would obey her all the time or she’d reveal the secret that Angelika switched her and Louise as babies. Lauren asks Louise to come to their resort. Thinking that it was for reconciliation, Louise happily agrees but Lauren has a plan to embarrass her by making her wear a gorilla costume. Angelika sees how her real daughter Louise gets humiliated in front of the public and she can’t even defend Louise as Lauren might reveal the truth to Jaclyn and Gabby.
