Showbiz Denizens Show Up To Support Grace Poe At Dinner Hosted By Mother Lily

MOTHER LILY hosted dinner for senatoriable Grace Poe at Imperial Palace last Saturday. It’s a big affair that so many people attended, including Albert and Liezl Martinez (Albert is celebrating his 52nd birthday that day), Tirso Cruz and wife Lyn Ynchausti with son Bodie Cruz, Directors Joel Lamangan, Gil Portes and Mel Chionglo, Luz Valdez, ex-Sen. Freddie Webb, Manay Ichu Maceda and many more. The evening was hosted by Bibeth Orteza and Mother Lily gave a glowing speech in praise of Grace. Manay Ichu, Grace’s first born Brian Llamanzares and her own mom Susan Roces took turns in talking about Grace and how she is all primed to serve in the senate.

There were many TV ads shown to plug Grace’s candidacy, one with couple Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi endorsing Grace, one with Pres. Noynoy, but the most effective for us is the one where Grace converses with Mom Susan, revealing her plans and aspirations as a public servant. It’s really a winner and we’re sure it will win Grace a lot of potential voters.

Grace says her advocacies would concern mainly education and agriculture. She wants to have a feeding program in public schools to make sure even indigent kids are adequately fed while attending classes. She also wants to irrigate more lands to help our farms since the country remains largely agricultural. But she also vows to continue helping the film industry and local culture by promoting them abroad. In her provincial sorties, she’s happy to note that our country is really on the upswing, very beautiful and there are now more tourists coming in so she wants to magnify this further.

How about her sister Lovi Poe? Some folks are saying Lovi promised to help her but is not really doing anything about it. “Halos doble ang edad namin ni Lovi but she’s very warm to me, calling me Ate Grace. Never kong binalak isama siya sa kampanya but, in fairness to her, she’s been asking noon pa kung kailan siya sasama. I told her sa bandang huli o dulo na ng kampanya. Ayoko naman masabing masyado ko siyang ginagamit. But when she saw my staff in a mall, nanghingi siya ng wrist band at sinuot niya agad. She said she’s really ready to help me anytime.”
