Eula Valdes Swears She Didn'T Force Tv5 To Get Bf Rocky Salumbides To Be Part Of Her Show

EULA VALDES and Eula Caballero were presented by TV5 to the press in a special presscon for their new show, “Cassandra, Warrior Angel”. We ask Eula V if she thinks Eula C is ripe for stardom, playing the title role at that, and how does she feel playing support to her? “When the show was offered to me, our director, Eric Quizon, told me na hindi ako mahihirapan with her kasi magaan siyang katrabaho,” she says. “And it’s true. Sa acting workshops pa lang namin, okay na siya. I agreed to support her and play her mom kasi when I was younger, sinuportahan din naman ako ng more senior stars, so okay lang with me to work with young stars today.”

Her contract with TV5 is for one year. “First time ko rin to work with Gabby Concepcion in a TV serial like this. I told him siya ang dahilan noon kaya nag-artista ako, crush ko kasi siya. Ngayon, kahalikan ko na as we play husband and wife here in ‘Cassandra’.”

Her current beau, Rocky Salumbides, is also cast in the show. Some folks say she just twisted the arm of TV5 to give her BF a job. “Mamatay man ako, wala akong kinalaman diyan. Pareho kami ng manager, si Ricky Gallardo, at natuwa ako when Ricky told me na Rocky is included in the show to play a black tikbalang. Noon ko pa siya kino-convince to be serious about acting kasi sa first movie niyang ‘Tarima’, he got much praise and even won an award. E, ako, ang tagal bago napuri ang acting ko. So I’m glad na itinuloy na niya ang pag-arte niya.”

There’s talk ‘Pangako Sa’Yo’ will be revived. Who’d she like to play her landmark role, Amor Powers? “Si Jodi Sta. Maria lang ang nakikita ko. Kaya lang, bakit ire-remake pa? They might just suffer in comparison.”

“Cassandra Warrior Angel” will replace “Kidlat” on primetime. It will have a special docu primer on May 5, “Anghel at Maligno: Mga Tunay na Kuwento sa Mundo ni Cassandra”, hosted by Gabby Concepcion, then it starts its regular run on May 6.
