Is it his first play? “No, I’ve done the role of Peping in the original staging of ‘Katy’ with Mitch Valdez. Kasama rin ako sa play based on the life of Sen. Aquilino Pimentel. But this is the first time I’m required to go nude.”
Star in a Million discovery OJ Mariano plays Malcolm in the story, a security guard. He has done nothing but wholesome plays like “The Little Mermaid”, “Rivalry” and “Rama Hari”. “I don’t see myself yet taking off my clothes on stage but siguro, before we open, masasanay na rin ako. Arnell Ignacio is one of us and he’s suggesting na sa rehearsals pa lang, mag-briefs na lang kami to shed off our inhibitions.”
Niño Alejandro plays Ethan Girard, a carefree guy who does some surprising things in the show. The cousin of Rachel Alejandro and nephew of Hajji, he started in showbiz as a singer and also tried acting. “I was the best friend of Jericho Rosales in ‘Munting Paraiso’ many years ago,” he says. “Then I got married to Michelle Katigbak and we have a daughter, Isabella. I focused more on business and our family. I auditioned for this show and I’m glad to be part of the cast as it’s a happy play, with many funny scenes and beautiful songs. It’s my first time to do professional theatre and I like its discipline.”
