Mrs. Cynthia Villar On The Hosting Style Of Daughter Camille Villar In 'Wowowillie'

CAMILLE VILLAR, co-host of “Wowowillie”, will soon be leaving the show. This was revealed by no less than her mother herself, Las Pinas Rep. Cynthia Villar. “She’s going to a good business school in Barcelona and her program will take her to various countries like the U.S. and China,” says Mrs. Villar. “Happy naman ako sa hosting niya sa ‘Wowowillie’ but ang dream ko talaga for her is to get her master’s degree in business. Yun lang naman ang the best na maipamamana natin sa ating mga anak, education.”

Mrs. Villar hosted a Valentine party and gave away heart-shaped trays full of chocolates then raffled off several prizes. She invited us to visit her livelihood projects in Villar Foundation at Las Pinas that benefit 500 families. She has about 100 such pilot centes all over the country, earning her the tag Mrs. Hanep Buhay.

“That’s my main advocacy, to give more jobs to our countrymen. In my travels, I saw we’re predominantly agricultural and I really want to be of help to our farmers through irrigation and farm inputs like seeds and fertilizer.”

She has also put up Villar SIPAG (Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Governance) that harvest water lilies from our rivers that are later made into bags. “This way, nalilinis mo na ang ilog, nabibigyan pa ng livelihood ang mga tao. We’re also into blanket weaving, composting, plastic pulverising that give people decent jobs,” says the senatorial aspirant who’s rating high in the surveys.
