May Maricel Soriano Be Truly Older And Wiser As She Turns 48 On February 28

MARICEL SORIANO IS turning 48 on February 28. We really wish she’s turning not just older but also wiser. Up to now, we still feel bad about her aborted comeback with ABS-CBN in “Bukas na Lang Kita Mamahalin”. If ABS did wonders with the revived careers of Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta in “Walang Hanggan”, we’re sure they could also have done wonders for her to give her dormant career its much needed boost. But we already know what happened. She allegedly berated Gerald Anderson, who plays her son, and ABS sided with Gerald and let go of her.

But that story about her turning bitter because Gerald rejected her sexual advances is most certainly foul. A very reliable source told us this is certainly not true as Maricel was with her special someone in the meetings and tapings she had with ABS. “That’s pure fabrication,” says our source.

We also don’t know if her new project, playing the mom of Vice Ganda in “Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy”, will resuscitate her career. No matter what you say, it’s a vehicle for Vice, not for her. Someone told us Maria is in need of a regular income right now as her rental for her house in Greenhills is P150,000 a month and if she couldn’t find a new job, she might just use up all her dwindling finances.
