Doesn't Jackie Rice Feel Bad That All Her Shows Are Afternoon Not Primetime Soaps?

JACKIE RICE’s last show, “Kasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka”, rated well. Now, after four months, she’s given a new show, “Bukod Kang Pinagpala”. “Reunited kami rito ni Jennica Garcia who played my sister in ‘Kasalanan Ba’,” she says. “This time, siya yung aampon sa anak ko at magpapalaki rito hanggang maging si child star Mona Louise Rey. Magiging magkaribal din kami sa ama ng bata, si Mark Anthony Fernandez, along with Camille Prats. Parehong magkaanak sina Camille at Jennica, but they will die, so yung anak ko lang ang matitira at pag-aagawan ng lahat.”

As the winner in Starstruck 3, doesn’t she wish to also star in a primetime show since her shows are mostly in the afternoon slot? “I’m happy where I am now. At least, hindi ako nawawalan ng trabaho ngayon unlike before noong maging pasaway ako’t matagal nabakante. Ayoko masabing nagiging demanding ako. Also, ang budget naman ng GMA for its evening and afternoon shows, halos pareho lang.”

About her love life, it remains very quiet. “Kasi non-showbiz ang boyfriend ko. Unlike kung pareho kaming artista, di ba? E ito, three years na kami and we’re doing fine.”

Any wedding plans? “As of now, wala pa. Busy siya sa business niya at enjoy naman ako sa career so enjoy lang kami with each other. Ayokong madaliin, magaya pa kami sa parents kong naghiwalay. Gusto ko muna talaga maging sure na kami na nga forever.”
