Dingdong Dantes' International Movie 'Dance Of Steel Bars' To Be Shown In May

DESPITE his busy sked taping for “Pahiram ng Sandali”, Dingdong Dantes took time out to fulfill one of his dreams: flying a jet in Clark Field. “I consider it an honor to be chosen as one of the seven lucky Pinoys to fly an L-39c jet fighter/trainer plane of The Breitling Jet Team, the world’s largest professional civilian flight team in Europe,” he says. “This is their first visit to our country as part of their 2013 Asian Tour. As a Breitling ambassador, this is a dream come true. I just crossed out one item in my bucket list: to fly alongside 7 great pilots of the Breitling Jet Team. It was a very exciting experience.”

Dingdong is also excited that the movie he did with Brit actor Patrick Bergin (the leading man of Julia Roberts in the 1991 thriller “Sleeping with the Enemy”) will finally be shown in May. This is “Dance of the Steel Bars”, filmed with the famous dancing prisoners of Cebu, directed by Cesar Apolinario and Marnie Manicad (wife of news anchor Jiggy).

After winning two Metro filmfest best actor awards in a row, for Star Cinema releases “Segunda Mano” and “One More Try”, it’s noticeable that Dingdong’s acting has really improved in the hit GMA soap “Pahiram ng Sandali”. As Alex, he gets Max Collins as Cindy pregnant and she has decided to abort the baby in Singapore as she hates his having a fling with her mom Janice (Lorna Tolentino). Mark Gil as Larry finally reveals to Alex that he’s aware that Alex is his son. He won’t let Alex quit his job and convinces him to accept his gifts. What will be Andrew’s (Neil Ryan Sese) reaction when he finds out the relationship between his father Larry and half brother Alex?
