Dagul Will Be The Only Cast Member Of 'Goin Bulilit' Who'Ll Never Graduate From The Show

DIRECTOR EDGAR Mortiz and his son Frasco are proud that their show, “Goin’ Bulilit”, has been the training ground of now well known teen stars Julia Montes, Kathryn Bernardo, Ella Cruz, Miles Ocampo and Kiray Celis. As they celebrate their 8th anniversary, the current cast of some 20 plus kiddie stars performed a dance number for the press. It’s easy to see that 9-year old Bugoy Carino is the stand out. He really moves so well, even the way he bobs his head to the beat of the music. We’ve also just seen him in the movie “Alagwa” as the son of Jericho Rosales who gets kidnapped and becomes the victim of human trafficking. He gives a heartbreaking performance and we told him he should win an award. What has he bought from his earnings as a child star?

“Nakabili po ako ng van, Hi Ace at nakapagpagawa ako ng bahay namin,” he says.

Another stand out among the boys is Harvey Bautista, who turns out to be the son of QC Mayor Herbert Bautista and Ms. Tates Gana. He’s definitely better looking than his dad. “Improvement of the race yan,” Mayor Herbert told us at the presscon of his new movie, “Raketeros”.

Among the girls, the stand out is Mutya Orquia, the daughter of Richard Yap in “Be Careful with My Heart”. She really oozes with star quality.

At their anniversary presentation tomorrow night, Direk Frasco says five cast members will graduate (he won’t say yet who) and new recruits will be joining the show. But one cast member, says Direk Frasco, will never graduate: Dagul, who’s been with the show since it started.

Dagul is Romy Pastrana in real life. He’ll be 53 years old in September. Is he married? “Yes, I have four kids. Three boys aged 19, 17 and 10, who are all of normal size. Yung bunso lang na girl ang nagmana sa akin. Malaki ang utang na loob ko kay Direk Bobot Mortiz na kinuha niya ko rito sa ‘Goin Bulilit’ kaya nagkaroon ako ng regular job.”
