Bryan Termulo Happier To Be A Kapamilya Than A Kapuso

BRYAN TERMULO was first runnerup to Maricris Garcia in GMA-7’s “Pinoy Pop Superstar (PPS)” but he’s now better known as the Prince of Teleserye Theme Songs at ABS-CBN. How did he become a Kapamilya?

“I became a regular in SOP after PPS, but when they changed it to ‘Party Pilipinas’, di na ko nakasali,” he says. “I supported Aljur Abrenica in ‘All My Life’ then wala na. My manager, Raul Leynes, produced an album for me and we sent to to Star Records. They liked it and released and my songs were used in their teleseryes, ‘Bihag’ and ‘Paano Nangyari’ in ‘100 Days to Heaven’. Big hit yung ‘Dadalhin’ used in ‘Walang Hanggan’. Then kinuha na ko sa ‘ASAP’ at pinatawag ako ng Star Magic that now co-manages me with my manager. I also branched out into acting. I was Gerald Anderson’s friend in ‘Budoy’ and I’ve appeared in ‘MMK’ and ‘Wansapanataym’. I’m now taping ‘Against All Odds’ with Judy Ann Santos. I’m in a love triangle with Empress Schuck and Joseph Marco. Dapat si Jessy Mendiola, who already started it, but she’s assigned elsewhere so nag-reshoot kami. Pati director, bago na. Direk Jerry Sineneng took over from Direk Malu Sevilla.”

He’s now releasing his second album “Bryan: Hanggang Ngayon” with three revivals and six original songs. His new song ‘Sa Isang Sulyap Mo’ is now being used as the theme song of Coco Martin’s “Juan de la Cruz”.

Despite his busy sked, Bryan went back to school to finish college. He’s now a communication arts junior at Trinity University. He’s celebrating his 25th birthday on March 8 with his first solo concert at the Music Museum on March 9, 8PM. Titled “Bryan Termulo XXV,” Bryan will have Liezel Garcia, Bugoy Drilon, KZ Tandingan and Melai Cantiveros as his special guests. “I’ll be doing a lot of production numbers with hiphop dancing,” he says. “I’d really like to invite sana Ate Regine Velasquez kasi she’s the host of PPS. I hope she can come.”
