For congress, Annabelle Rama is running in Cebu, Rez Cortez and Aga Muhlach in Bicol (but Aga’s candidacy is being contested), Imelda Papin in Bulacan, Alfred Vargas in Quezon City, Christopher de Leon in Batangas, Shalani Soleda in Bulacan, Joey Marquez in Paranaque.

Jolo Revilla for Cavite Vice Governor. Richard Gomez for Ormoc City Mayor and Erap Estrada as Manila Mayor.

Joko Diaz as board member in Batangas,

Seeking re-election are Sens. Loren Legarda, Tito Sotto and Chiz Escudero, Cong. Manny Pacquiao (his wife Jinkee Pacquiao is said to be running as Vice Governor in Sarangai), Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos, Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno (he’ll be up against co-actors Lou Veloso and Rey Malonzo who are also running for the same position), Ormoc Rep. Lucy Torres Gomez, Laguna Rep. Dan Fernandez, Laguna Gov. ER Ejercito and wife Pagsanjan Mayor Maita Sanchez, Bacoor Mayor Strike Revilla, Cainta Mayor Mon Ilagan, Angelica Jones and Gary Estrada as Laguna board members, and as councilors, Anjo Yllana and Alma Moreno in Paranaque, Jestoni Alarcon in Antipolo, Robert Ortega in Manila, Marjorie Barretto in Caloocan, Monsour del Rosario in Makati and Roderick Paulate in Quezon City. And so that was the year that was for showbiz in 2012. Here’s hoping that we’ll see better films and TV shows in the new year and praying that 2013 will be a better one for all of us.
