Angelica Panganiban On Doing Love Scenes With Star Magic'S Most Senior Actors: Diet And Papa P

ANGELICA PANGANIBAN plays the most challenging role in her career in soaps in “Apoy sa Dagat” where she plays dual roles. As the simple lass who grows up in an island, Serena, she’s paired with Piolo Pascual. As the sophisticated society girl who grows up in the city, Rebecca, she’s paired with Diether Ocampo. Who’s the villainous one between the two?

“Wala, walang kontrabida sa kanila,” she says. “Kahit magkaiba ang mundo at upbringing nila, walang sinumang masama sa kanila. But the one easier to portray for me is Serena, kasi simple lang siya, walang pretensiyon sa katawan, unlike si Rebecca na soysal, kaya malayo sa’kin yun.”

She has love scenes with both Piolo and Diet, the most senior actors in the Star Magic stable. Which one affected her? “Si Diet, naka-love scene ko na sa soaps, ‘Iisa Pa Lamang’ and ‘Rubi’. So I’m used to him, wala ng malisya. Si Papa P, ngayon ko pa lang naka-bedscene, kasi sa previous works naman, wala naman kaming bedscene. So parang mas may malisya.”

Should her BF John Lloyd Cruz get jealous? “Ay hindi po. Alam niyang close friends lang kami talaga ni Papa P.”

“Apoy sa Dagat” will start airing to replace “Kahit Puso’y Masugatan” on February 4.
