The Reason Why Manny Pacquiao Lost In His Last Fight With Marquez

MANNY PACQUIAO is supposed to arrive home today with wife Jinky. To those who declared that his defeat in the Marquez match is the end for his career, Manny says he’s not retiring, he’s still going back to boxing, even if some folks say he should have quit when he was still on top.

Many reasons were given as to why he lost the fight. Religion is one of them. His own Mommy Dionisia says he should not have given up being a Catholic and became Born again since “‘yun ang nagpayaman sa kanya.” Now, he doesn’t pray the rosary anymore and won’t even do the sign of the cross.

Personally, we think he lost simply because his attention is so divided. He went into politics, preaching and showbiz, how can you expect him to focus totally on boxing like he did before? If he’d fight again, he should drop everything else on his plate and just concentrate on boxing, which was what Marquez exactly did.

When they’re seen together, it’s so obvious Marquez was more primed as a prizefighter. He’s older than Pacquaio, so age is not an issue. He’s just so into it, he truly prepared hard for the fight and every inch of him is really ready to make a kill, which he did.
