Going back to Janice, she says 2012 has been a very productive year for her. On TV, she was in “Budoy” earlier and now, “Ina Kapatid Anak”, both hit shows. She won Cinemalaya best actress-best supporting actress awards in July with her co-stars in “Mga Mumunting Lihim”. She was also in three other horror flicks: “The Healing”, “Pridyider” and “Tiktik: Aswang Chronicles”. She’s really the horror queen as she starred in one of the most memorable horror hits in local cinema, “Tiyanak”, where “Ang anak ni Janice” became a famous tagline.
“Hindi lang yun,” she adds. “Itong ‘Shake 14’ is my sixth ‘Shake’ movie. I was in the first ‘Shake, Pridyider’ episode of the late Ishmael Bernal. Sa ‘Shake 2’, I was in the ‘Multo’ episode with Eric Quizon. In ‘Shake 3’, nasa ‘Ate’ episode naman ako with Gina Alajar. In ‘Shake 4’, I did the ‘Kapitbahay’ episode with Aiza Seguerra. At sa ‘Shake 11’, nasa ‘Diablo’ episode ako with Maja Salvador. I think I can proudly say ako ang artistang may pinakamaraming ‘Shake’ movies na nagawa.”
She’s lucky in getting a second wind in her career, but she doesn’t seem to be as lucky with regard to her lovelife. “Ay naku, hindi ko pinoproblema yun. I’m happy being single. Hindi ako naghahanap, bahala na si Lord, kung may ibibigay pa Siya sa’kin o wala na. Kapag nalulungkot ako, nagluluto na lang ako. No time to feel sad and lonely.”
