The film is written and directed by Mark Meily, who also appears as Presidente ng Indang, Cavite. The title theme song is written by Apl de App, sung by Jamir Garcia of Slapshock.

Gen. Aguinaldo was born in 1869 and lived up to 1964, nearly a century. The film tells the story of the man behind the legend who is responsible for the creation of the Philippine flag, the National Anthem and the first Philippine Constitution. The film explores the political in-fighting and intrigues that rocked the revolution and also the inner struggles of Aguinaldo as a family man.
