Starstruck Alumnus Has Learned His Lesson After Being Detained For Drug Charges

STARSTRUCK ALUMNUS Vivo Ouano is grateful to GMA-7 for giving him another chance after he was wrongfully detained for a drug charge. “I learned a lot from the experience,” he says. “I realized we have to be wiser in our choice of people we go out with, hindi dapat basta magtitiwala kung kani-kanino. Dapat din, maniwala sa sinasabi ng parents natin. I admit na at one point, habang naka-detain ako, muntik na kong mawalan ng pag-asa na makakalaya pa ako. Kasi ang hirap nung parang nawala na lahat ng rights mo. But eventually, natuto kong kumapit sa Diyos. Alam naman Niya, hindi ako masamang tao. So I learned to hope, not to feel bitter but better. And now, I promise to be wiser in my choice of friends.”

He gained weight while detained so the first thing he did upon being released is to work out and he now looks more buff. “Nag-review rin ako for my college entrance exams para mapagpatuloy ko ang pag-aaral ko. Then dumating ang offer from GMA at tuwang-tuwa ako na mabigyan uli ako ng trabaho. It’s a fresh new start for me.”

He’s now part of the cast of GMA’s afternoon soap, “Magdalena”, with Bela Padilla. “I took acting workshops para mas bumuti at di malait ang performance ko. I know marami pa akong dapat matutuhan and I’m willing to learn.”
