"Mahirap kasing mabakante at feeling mo kakalawangin ka," he says. "Although meron naman akong guestings and did regional shows in various province to promote GMA, iba pa rin yung may regular show ka na you look forward to taping every other day. One project I did na inspired talaga ako is the docu-drama on our second saint, St. Pedro Calungsod, which shows why he was canonized by the Vatican."
In "Yesterday's Bride" that replaces "Hindi Ka Na Mag-iisa" on Monday, he plays Justin, the son of rich parents Ara Mina and Emilio Garcia. He falls in love with a poor simple girl, Andrea (Lovi), and his parents were against her. But he fights for their love and decides to marry her.Unfortunately, on her wedding day, she meets an accident and becomes comatose.
"Mahirap yung pinagdaanan namin ni Lovi rito," says Rocco. "May scenes na ako lang ang emote ng emote kasi si Lovi, nakahiga lang and unconscious. Later on, she'll give birth while still in coma and when she regains consciousness during a fire sa hospital, magkakahiwalay kami and I thought she died in the fire."
How's it working with Lovi? "She's very cooperative even in the love scenes. Walang kiyeme dahil we really have to show that we're so in love with each other. It's our second time together kasi we were paired before in 'Love Bug' almost three years ago."
Rocco was one of the well applauded in the recent Bench fashion show even if he didn't parade on the ramp in an underwear. He's now preparing for a new pictorial for the Bench summer collection next year. "Panay ang diet ko't workout ngayon, lalo na sa thighs ko kasi masyadong malalaki ang hita ko."
