Nora Aunor is joining “Enchanted Garden” this week. How does he feel about it? “Siempre excited ang lola mo. I’ve worked with her before on TV, but si Rustom pa yung nakatrabaho niya. Ngayon pa lang niya makaka-work si BB. E, si Rustom, very guarded pa noon. Si BB, more free, walang takot and enjoying it very much.”
What if they ask BB to do love scenes with Wendell Ramos in “Enchaned Garden”? “Aba, di go, choosy pa ba ko? But pambata itong show, so walang ganung scenes. Off cam na lang,” she laughs.
All the Padillas are in the cast of Robin’s new movie, “Kuratong Baleleng”. How does he feel that he’s not included? “Darling, hindi naman ako Padilla. Gandanghari ako, so okay lang. Wag na nating gawing issue yan.”
But he’s now doing a play, “Sayaw ng mga Senioritas”, about aging gays with Joel Lamangan, Soxy Topacio, Lou Veloso and Manny Castaneda. “It was offered to me by Direk Joey Reyes who said he wrote my role for me kaya hindi ko siya matanggihan. I play Direk Joel’s former lover noong lalaki pa ko. When we see each other again, babae na ako kaya naloka siya.”
He wants to play a transsexual on screen. “Kasi usually, mga babae ang pinagaganap na kunwari lalaki, like Felicity Huffman in ‘Transamerica’. I want to do something like that locally.”
