Eugene Domingo Dreams Of Being In The Cover Of Sexy Men's Magazines

EUGENE DOMINGO felt so sad when she learned that Zsa Zsa Padilla had a malignant growth in her kidney that will be operated on in the U.S. today. “Biro mo, we were so happy while shooting ‘I Do Bidoo Bidoo’, tapos kung kailan matatapos na ang movie namin, doon natuklasang may tumor siya sa kidney,” she says. “Nakapagmura talaga ako, pero siya, she’s so composed, parang wala lang. Kalilibing lang ni Dolphy, tapos may sakit naman siya, but she’s so strong. She wasn’t able to attend anymore our grand presscon and premiere night. But we all pray for her healing. I don’t doubt at all that she’ll survive as she’s very resilient. Araw-gabi ko talagang pinagdarasal na gumaling sana siya ng lubusan. At pagbalik niya rito, we’ll have a special screening for her para mapanood naming magkakasama ang ‘I Do Bidoo’ kung saan ang galing-galing niya.”

What convinced her to do her daring bed scene with Ogie Alcasid in her bra and panties? “Matagal ko ng gustong gawin yan wala lang nag-aalok, so ngayong nagkaroon ng pagkakataon, ayan, itinambad ko na ang alindog ko sa big screen. Siguro, this is the way para matupad ang dream ko na maging cover ako ng sexy men’s magazines.”

Is she serious? “Joke lang. Ang totoo, nagwo-worry ako sa magiging reaction ng mga magulang ko. Baka sabihin nila, hindi ko na binigyan ng kahihiyan ang pamilya namin. Sasabihin ko na lang, pasensiya na, dala ng matinding pangangailangan kasi kapos na kapos kami.”

Eugene’s singing is fairly impressive, particularly in the “Batambata” number with Gary Valenciao which they sing to their kids, Sam Concepcion and Tippy Dos Santos. But she’s earning raves not just for the movie but also for her title role performance in the stage play, “Bona”, now showing at the PETA Theatre. To promote “I Do Bidoo” on TV5, which is a co-producer of the movie, she’s also guesting in some of the Kapatid shows.

Today, she’ll be seen as a special celebrity “sawsawera” in “Face to Face” with Arnell Ignacio, hosted by Gelli de Belen. “Fan ako ng show kasi nakakaali manood and you get life lessons from each episode.
