LOVI POE is sure to be linked anew with
Jake Cuenca now that they’re paired again in Joel Lamangan’s “Lihis”, a movie scripted by Ricky Lee with a controversial theme about homosexuality in the rebel movement. The movie starts in the present with Lovi’s character now played by Gloria Diaz. Her daughter, played by Gloria’s real life daughter
Isabelle Daza, wonders why her mom is so mad with her ninong, Baron Geisler, so she does some research work and discovers the affair between him and her own father, Jake. How their love story blossoms while Jake is married to Lovi in the 80s will be shown in flashbacks. Jake and Baron will have frontal nudity scenes in the movie.
Lovi is now busy shooting two new Regal flicks, the horror flick “Guni-Guni” with Benjamin Alves and the rom-com “Bride and Lover” with Paulo Avelino. She’s also in two other films now in post production, “Tiktik, Aswang Chronicles” with Dingdong Dantes and “Thy Womb” with Nora Aunor. But no matter how busy she maybe, someone told us she’d still do “Lihis” because of Jake. “Noon ngang story conference, sabay pa sila dumating and from the looks of it, something is really going on between them,” says our source.
