Agot Isidro Thanks Gma-7 For Welcoming Her So Warmly In 'One True Love' Set

AGOT ISIDRO was the special guest in “Showbiz Central” last Sunday in its Story of Your Life segment. Agot has moved to GMA-7 and will appear in the Alden Richards-Louise de los Reyes launching soap, “One True Love”, that will replace “My Beloved” starting Monday, June 11. We ourselves were surprised with Agot’s decision to leave ABS-CBN as she had steady assignments with them, from “Oki Doki Doc”, “Marina”, “Mga Anghel na Walang Langit”, “Rounin” to “Lobo”, “Tayong Dalawa” (a landmark show for her), “Tanging Yaman”, “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin”, “Nasaan Ka, Elisa”, “Walang Hanggan” (as the young Susan Roces) and “EBoy”.

“I just need change”, she told Raymond Gutierrez of “Showbiz Central”. “We need change and new challenge so we won’t stagnate in life.”

“Showbiz Central” made a pretty good job of tracing her career from the time she finished interior design in UP and fashion merchandising in New York. She then became back up singer in the musical variety shows of Vilma Santos and Sharon Cuneta and hosted “Sanglinggo nApo Sila”. But they failed to mention that her first film was “Masahol Pa Sa Hayop” with Phillip Salvador where she played a lady lawyer and won the 1993 Star best new movie actress award.

Agot thanked GMA for treating her well. “Everyone is so nice, so welcoming and so warm,” she said. Aside from “One True Love”, Agot is also in the Cinemalaya movie of Joey Reyes, “Mga Mumunting Lihim”, with Judy Ann Santos, Janice de Belen and Iza Calzado.
