After Being Kapamilya And Kapuso, Marvin Agustin Is Now A Kapatid

MARVIN AGUSTIN is producing “Kanta Pilipinas” for TV5 and has been working on it since October 2011 for airing this year, but it’s suddenly shelved in favor of “Artista Academy”. How does he feel about it?

“Okay lang kasi may kasabay na singing contest sa ibang channel,” he says. “At heto, ako pang pinagho-host ngayon ng ‘Artista Academy’. So instead of being a producer, host na ako. Nagustuhan ko naman when they offered it to me kasi ang ganda ng concept. I was once a newcomer myself at nag-apply rin ako noon sa ‘Midnight Madness’ ng ABS. Now, I’m glad to be of help sa mga kabataang sumali rito sa ‘Artista Academy’ and be part of their journey sa kanilang pagiging artista.”

So he’s now exclusively with TV5? “I signed a two-year contract with them, but not exclusive. I can still work with other networks provided hindi the same kind of show at hindi directly shown against ‘Artista Academy’. But as of now, may offer rin sa’kin ang TV5 na gumawa ng soap and cooking show, so mukhang dito na lang muna ako.”
