Showbiz Observers Unanimous In Saying Luis Manzano Is A Good Catch For Jennylyn Mercado

THOSE who watched Luis Manzano and Jennylyn Mercado looking so lovey-dovey in “Showbiz Central” last Sunday pray that their relationship would really last. But one veteran writer who chooses to be negative says all those who proclaimed their love on TV eventually broke up.

“Tingnan nyo na lang sina Heart Evangelista at Daniel Matsunaga,” he says. “Di ko malimutan sina Bernard Palanca at Meryll Soriano na nagpakasal pa and kept on declaring their lasting love for each other on TV, tapos hindi rin tumagal ng kahit one year ang pagsasama. Naku, marami pang ibang examples.” Read, Daniel Matsunaga Still Hurting After Heart Evangelista Dumped Him.

But most writers agree that Gov. Vilma Santos’ son is a very good catch and being linked to him even boosted Jen’s own career. “Binatang single, edukado, well bred, successful sa showbiz career, may sarili pang businesses, what more can Jennylyn ask for? Pag natuloy pang maging pangulo ng bansa si Gov. Vi, magkaka-mother in law siya na presidente!”

At any rate, Luis’ guesting in “Showbiz Central” proved to be very beneficial for the show as it rated so well and beat the competition.

AGB Nielsen surveys indicated it earned 25.9 points in the National Urban area as against 23 of the rival show. It also won in the Mega-Manila and Urban Luzon areas.
