Ogie Alcasid Worried About First Solo Title Role As 'Boy Pick Up'

OGIE ALCASID has always been open in saying that Solenn Heussaff is his crush. Now that they’re paired together in “Boy Pickup”, is it true he suggested they be given a kissing scene?

“Kayo naman, ano ba tingin nyo sa’kin, mapagsamantala?” he says. “Hindi ko iniisip yang mga ganyang eksena ng halikan kasi wholesome ang movie namin. Pero kung ipag-uutos ng director at pipilitin ako, may magagawa ba ko kundi ang sumunod kahit labag sa kalooban ko?”

But how is Solenn as a leading lady? “Maganda, sexy, but so funny. Kahit ano ipagawa ni Direk Dominic Zapata, walang reklamo. Walang arte sa katawan. A real trouper. Very talented at baliw rin. No wonder bago pa lang, nanalo na siya’t nominated uli for acting awards.”

Ogie admits feeling pressure as “Boy Pickup” is his first title role. “Meron na kong title role before but dalawa kami ni Michael V, ‘Angelina and Yaya’, so kabado ko now kasi solo lang ako tapos showing na kami agad ng June 6. Nakakatuwa lang daw dahil all out ang Regal and GMA Films at ang director naming si Dominic Zapata na mapaganda ang movie. Nagpapasalamat din ako to those who appear in cameo roles, sina Derek Ramsay, Boy Abunda, Chef Boy Logro and siempre, si Bitoy rin, Michael V. I can feel the movie will be a big hit kasi kahit saan ako magpunta, may nanggagaya sa’kin at binibigyan ako ng pick up line na gamitin daw for the movie.”
