Director Mac Alejandre Is Head Of TV5 Talent Center And They Have 'Artista Academy'

IF GMA has ‘Battle for the Big Artista Break’, TV5 is also having its own search for new stars in “Artista Academy”. This was revealed to us by Mac Alejandre, creative consultant and new head of TV5 Talent Center. “We’ll have our auditions soon. This is going to be big,” says Mac who’s now also helming the Julie Ann San Jose-Elmo Magalona launching film for GMA Films. “For films, I can direct naman anywhere. I’m also directing a new film for Studio 5.”

What’s his plan for TV5 talents? “I’m in charge of developing existing talents and recruiting new ones. For ‘Artista Academy’, we’ll use a different approach, but I’m not at liberty to reveal the details as we have a timeline for our platforms. Pero gusto kong unahin pushing current talents, tayaan natin sila, give them good shows, like Eula and Ritz Azul who both have great potential. Dapat, the public should be more aware of them.”

How about rumors that he snatched the job from Audie Gemora? “Hindi, a. TV5 said his contract expired, just like me. My contract with GMA-7 expired and I didn’t renew, lumipat ako rito. Wala pong sulutang naganap.”
