Rhian Ramos Finally Faces The Press In A Solo Interview For 'My Kontrabida Girl'

RHIAN RAMOS was presented by GMA Films in a solo interview for “My Kontrabida Girl”. Rhian looks so fresh and pretty you won’t even suspect she has gone through a truly traumatic experience recently. She wants to take a very positive view of what happened. See article, Rhian Ramos Is Not Snubbing The Press, Will Have Her Own Solo Presscon.

“I felt it’s God’s way of waking me up to bring me back to my senses,” she says. “I was going to the wrong direction and He brought me back to the right path. I’ve definitely learned my lesson. The last part of 2011 was really difficult but I’m so thankful to my family for being there every step of the way. I went to Bangkok to be with my dad. I had to give up ‘My Beloved’ to stay away from showbiz for a while. Then Smart sent me to the U.S. for a new technology convention. Over the New Year, I was with my mom’s side of the family in Boracay. Slowly, I was able to get back to my feet and regain my self respect. I’m so glad I survived it. I saw who my real friends are, those who stood by me during those trying times.”

How come she’s now being linked to KC Montero? “It’s not true. Also that rumor linking me to a politician. I have no intention of getting into any kind of a relationship soon. Ngayon pa lang ako uli nakakabangon. And even if I do, I think I’d be able to handle myself better. Before kasi, ang dali kong mag-agree even if I knew it would lead me to doing something wrong. We should all learn from our mistakes.”

She’s also thankful to GMA Films for giving her two important films. “First is ‘The Road’, which will be shown across the USA in mainstream theatres. I’m so proud to be a part of this trend-setting film. Then there’s ‘My Kontrabida Girl’, a feel good romantic-comedy. If the past year was sad, the new one is certainly turning out to be good one for me with these projects. I love my role as the reigning kontrabida queen in telenovelas. I got a lot of tips from real life villains like Bella Flores, Cherie Gil, Gladys Reyes who appear as themselves in the movie. Then I get saved from a life-threatening experience and I suddenly lost my energy as a kontrabida. Wala na ko ganang manampal at sabunutan ang mga bida. Bella Flores advised me to look for the person I hated the most in the my life and take revenge on him. It turns out to be Aljur Abrenica, my kababata in Palawan who has a big atraso with me. So I return to Palawan and look for him with the intention of messing up his life, but things turn out differently from what I planned. It’s a very entertaining film and I’m sure the viewers will enjoy watching it.”
