Piolo Pascual On Rivalry With Jericho Rosales In 'Dahil Sa Pag-Ibig'

WE SAW Piolo Pascual at the press preview of “Dahil sa Pag-ibig” and later, at the Star Magic 20th Anniversary presscon. He’s one of the Kapamilya stars rumored to have received an offer from TV5. Did he ever think of moving?

“Wala naman dahilan para pag-isipan kong umalis ng ABS-CBN at Star Magic,” he says. “Pamilya kasi kami rito kaya sana, dito na ako tumanda. I’ve been with them since 1993 as part of Star Circle Batch 3. They treat their stars with a personal touch, from the big bosses up to the handlers and road managers. They trained us well and also disciplined us when we make mistakes. They taught us humility. Parang support group talaga ang mga kasama mo rito, so bakit pa ako aalis?”

He’s happy with his new soap, “Dahil sa Pag-ibig”, and dispels rumors he and Jericho Rosales are acting rivals. “We both used to be members of the The Hunks so we’re like brothers. Walang competition sa amin. Our mutual goal is mapaganda ang show. Ngayon lang kami nagkasama sa isang drama so pareho kaming ganado, what with Christopher de Leon also with us. Pareho kaming maganda ang role, with me as a priest na nagka-affair sa adopted sister ko. Siya naman, may pagka-antihero ang role niya kaya masarap paglaruan.”
