Billy Crawford denies rumors that he and Nikki Gil have broken up

BILLY CRAWFORD is glad that the movie he did with John Lapus, Luis Manzano, Marvin Agustin, Martin Escudero and DJ Durano, “Five Morons and the Crying Lady”, will be shown on April 7 as he’s leaving for France on April 30 to record a new album there and also do a show. It’ll be recalled that Billy used to be big in Europe, particularly in France, so he wants to revive his career there. He hasn’t done a movie for sometime so he’s glad to be part of “Moron Five”.

“It’s not just a mindless comedy,” he says. “It imparts some good messages to the viewers on how we should all treat mentally challenged people. Kahit moron ang isang tao, they have qualities unique and special to them and the people they interact with. We all enjoyed working with John Lapus in the movie as he plays multiple roles. Five different roles ang ginagampan niya rito aside from being the crying lady. May matanda, may batang maliit, may lalaki pa siyang role. And he’s good in all of it.”

When is he returning to Manila from France? “I told ABS that I’d be here by end of June, kasi by July, we’ll start the new season of ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’.”

Is it true he and Nikki Gil are breaking up? “No, kami pa rin. Hindi nga namin alam kunsaan galing ang balitang yan. Basta masaya pa rin kami together. Sabi ko nga, kung pakakasal ako ngayon, I will have no other girl but her as my bride.”
