TELEVISION IS MUCH more active than films and the new NEW TV shows aired in 2011 are: On ABS-CBN – January: “Green Rose”, “Buhawi Jack”. February: “Mutya”, “Mana Po”, “The Price is Right”. March: “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin”. April: “Mula sa Puso”, “Maria la del Barrio”. May: “The Biggest Loser”. June: “Guns and Roses” of Robin Padilla, replacing the huge hit “Mara Clara”. July: “I Dare You”, “Reputasyon”. August: “Binondo Girl”. September: “Growing Up”, “Budoy”. October: “Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited” with two different houses called UnliNight and UnliDay, November: “Angelito, Batang Ama”. December: “Ikaw ay Pag-ibig” replaces “100 Days to Heaven”.

On GMA-7 – January: “Dwarfina”, “Machete”, “Alakdana”. February: “I Heart u Pare”, “Nita Negrita”, “Magic Palayok”, “My Lover My Wife”. April: “Amazing Cooking Kids”, “Star Box” with Ali Sotto and Papa Jack (lasted for only one month), “Kitchen Superstar”, the new “Family Feud”. May: “Amaya”, “Sisid”, “Andres de Saya”. June: “Sinner or Saint”. July: “Futbolilits”, “Manny’s Many Prizes”. August: “Iglot” (didn’t last long after the Claudine Barretto-bank controversy.) September: “The Protegee”. “Kung Aagawin Mo ang Langit”. October: “Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin”, “Daldalita”. November: “Kokak”, “Survivor Philippines- Season 4”.

On TV 5- February: “Babaeng Hampaslupa”. March: “Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak”. May: “Bagets”, “Iskul Bukol”. June: “Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum”. July: “Bangis”, “The Sisters”. October: “Sa Ngalan ng Ina”. November: “Glamorosa”, “PS I Love You”. On February 25, Channel 41 became TV5’s Aksyon TV and on February 28, Q Channel 11 became GMA News TV. TV5 made its presence felt with so many stars moving to them. From GMA-7, those who transferred are Wendell Ramos, Nadine Samonte and Gelli de Belen. From ABS-CBN, transferees were Aga Muhlach who became “Pinoy Explorer”, Mariel Rodriguez and Sharon Cuneta.
