What's In Store For Nora Aunor In 2012?

BY NOW, NORA Aunor must have left for Boston where she’ll undergo throat surgery to restore her golden voice that her fans have missed for a long time now. She’ll stay there for one month and then return again to Manila. We just wish she’ll have new projects to come home to by then.

It’s been months since we last saw her in TV5’s “Sa Ngalan ng Ina”, but we have yet to hear of a new show they’re cooking up for her, even if she’s still under contract with them for three years. Perhaps, if that show rated astronomically high, then she’d be given a follow up project right away.

Also, instead of dramas, TV5 is now preparing six new reality shows and we don’t see Ate Guy’s name in any of them as a host. As we all know, hosting is not exactly Ate Guy’s forte. When she was still doing “Superstar” on RPN 9, it’s common knowledge that it’s Kuya Germs who did more of the hosting chores.

When she returns here, we doubt if TV5 would make her host their singing contest, “Kanta Pilipinas”. But it’d really be nice if she could make them part of this new show and she has regained her golden voice by then, so avid Noranians will then have the chance to see and hear her sing each week. As for the movie she’s supposed to do with Regal, “Hototay”, we doubt very much if Mother Lily would still push through with it, especially now that the drama flick she did with another comebacking actress, Maricel Soriano’s “Yesterday Today Tomorrow”, didn’t do very well at the box office. It’s good she has already shot all her scenes for “El Presidente” of Gov. ER Ejercito. At least, her fans still have something to look forward to.
