“I first came to Manila for a vacation when I was 3 years old,” says Angelo. “Two years ago, I decided to come here to work. The late Douglas Quijano was a cousin of my grandmother and he’s supposed to manage me, but he passed soon after I came here. I’m now under Cosmo Agency.”
His formal training is as a ballet dancer, having studied it since he was 9 years old. He has performed in well known ballets like “Swan Lake”, “Nutcracker Suite” and “Giselle”. He tried going to Ballet Philippines upon his arrival here but learned the dancers there are paid very little so he went into modelling. “I also want to try acting but I need to learn how to speak Tagalog fluently first,” he adds.
He’s the partner of Maja in modelling as bride and groom in the ads of Weddings & Debuts Bridal Fair of the Wedding Library to be held at SM Megatrade Hall 1, 2 and 3 from February 17 to 19, with designer Edd Sy, Nice Print, Juan Carlo the Caterer and AMI Jewels as sponsors.
