LOVI POE was teary eyed in “Showbiz Central” as she watched the news footage showing the arrival in Ilocos of rumored BF Ronald Singson via a chartered plane after he was released by the Hongkong prison where he stayed for 10 months. Host Pia Guanio’s report on Ronald said a thanksgiving mass and dinner was hosted for him by his dad Gov. Chavit Singson. Ronald was interviewed by the “Showbiz Central” team who asked him about prison life.
“It was hard, very difficult because of mental and emotional torture,” he said. “I went into depression, but physically, hindi kasi they have a good penal system. Nakatulong ito para mas mapalapit ako sa Diyos.”
He was supposed to be in prison for 16 months but he said his sentence was shortened by 1/3 after he admitted his crime to the court and also for showing good behavior. He denied he’s sore at his friend and business partner, Jomari Yllana, for not visiting him in prison. “That’s not true kasi nadalaw niya ako sa Hongkong. Wala akong sama ng loob sa kanya.”
How about Lovi Poe? “We need to talk but whatever we’d talk about, I’d like to keep it private. I want to thank her for all her support, for visiting me on my birthday and for all the letters.”
Lovi confirmed to Pia she did visit Ronald in Hongkong. “Para siyang sa movies kasi may glass sa pagitan namin,” she said. “Hindi mo siya mahahawakan at sa telepono lang kami nag-usap.”
How does she feel that he’s back? “I’m sincerely happy for him at kasama na niya ang family niya. Before, I had to block everything off na masasakit na nangyari so I can move forward. I’m happy maraming magagandang nangyari sa’kin last year. But when I saw sa news na he’s getting off the plane, parang nawala lahat ng block. Nakabuti rin yung nangyari kasi nahanap ko ang sarili ko. During my time alone, marami akong nadiskubre, I’ve grown, I matured. I’m happy that he’s here, but sobrang focused na ako sa trabaho ko.”
What will she say when she sees him? “Welcome home.”
