Her winning will provide serve as a bright ray of light for her home city, Cagayan de Oro, which has just been ravaged by typhoon Sendong. Krizza, 16 years old, said before she’s an active online fan of Kapuso stars Kris Bernal and Jennica Garcia in their fans club. She’s an AB International Studies freshman and says she owes much of her success to Aiza who acted like a real parent to her. “Naytay po ang tawag ko sa kanya,” she says. “Pinagsamang nanay at tatay.”

Lovely Embuscado, with Jaya as mentor, returned to the show as a wild card. She won as Texter’s Choice and, like Krizza, will also have a five-year contract with GMA Artist Center. The third finalist was Lirah Bermudez, with Janno Gibbs as mentor.
