Two Indie films accepted in Asiatic Filmmediale international filmfest in Rome

TWO LOCAL films shown during the last Cinemalaya indie filmfest have been selected as official entries in the Asiatic Filmmedialeinternational filmfest to be held in Rome, Italy from October 12 to 22. These are Joel Lamangan’s “Patikul” starring Marvin Agustin, Allen Dizon and Dimples Romana, and Laurice Guillen’s “Maskara” starring Ina Feleo. The Asiatic filmfest is funded by the Italian ministry of culture in cooperation with the city of Rome, supported by their national association of film critics, Asian embassies and various Italian film distributors. Both films are produced by Dennis Evangelista who also produced the acclaimed “Dukot” and “Deadline”. He’s now teaming up again with Direk Joel for a new movie about OFW’s, “Migrante”, to be filmed on location in Tel Aviv, Israel.
