WE’RE SURE Ian de Leon is happy to be acting with both his mom and dad (Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon) in TV5’s “Sa Ngalan ng Ina”. It’s been such a long time when they all did the movie “I Love You Mama, I Love You Papa” fo Regal. Ian is replacing Ryan Agoncillo who begged off since he’s now so busy with “Eat Bulaga”, “Talentadong Pinoy” and the Metro filmfest entry he’s currently shooting with wife Judy Ann Santos, “My Househusband”.
The mini-series is Nora and Christopher’s reunion with Mario O’Hara who first megged them in the 1976 war drama where Ate Guy first won Urian and Famas best actress awards, “Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos”. Also in the cast are Edu Manzano (who has signed up with TV5), Eugene Domingo, Rosanna Roces, Nadine Samonte (whose “The Sisters” will be ending earlier to give way to Ate Guy’s show), Alwyn Uytingco, and Noel Ferrer talents Edgar Allan Guzman and Rodjun Cruz. Aside from “Sa Ngalan ng Ina”, TV5 will also have another new soap, “Glamorosa”, starring Lorna Tolentino, Alice Dixson and Ms. Susan Roces.
