His career is really coming up roses. He’s now in three regular TV5 shows: the gag show “Lokomoko U”, the youth-oriented “Hey It’s Saberday”, and the primetime soap “The Sisters” where he plays the straight acting gay best friend of Nadine Samonte. He’ll also be part of Nora Aunor’s new mini-series where he’d appear with his Cinemalaya counterpart as best actress, Eugene Domingo. For ABS-CBN, he’s now taping a “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode opposite Kim Chiu, directed by Cathy Molina.
He has also just released his first album under Sony and Ivory Music, “Breakthrough”, that contains revivals and original songs. We specially like his rendition of “Love Story Ko”, “Kamusta Ka”, and “Kung Magkikita Tayo Muli”. For his first movie with Regal, Mother Lily says she asked Roselle to include Edgar in the cast of the Eugene Domingo episode in “Shake, Rattle & Roll 13” directed by Chris Martinez. “Sana nga, matuloy, kasi gusto ko talaga gumawa ng horror movie at makatrabaho si Miss Uge,” says Edgar.
About his lovelife, Edgar admits he’s still going steady with Sexbomb Johlan Veluz. “Nagkaroon kami ng problema sa aming relationship but inaayos namin yun.”
