Bea Binene avoiding Derrick Monasterio

BEA BINENE confesses that she was scared when she started taping for “Pahiram ng Isang Ina” that will replace “Blusang Itim” starting Monday. “First time ko kasi to work under Direk Joel Lamangan and I heard na istrikto siya sa set at naninigaw,” she says. “But after a few days of working with him, nawala agad ang kaba ko sa kanya. Nasa lugar naman pala ang pagiging mahigpit niya. He wants everyone to be disciplined and professional sa trabaho so I did everything naman para hindi ako mapahiya sa kanya. I came to the set prepared at memorized ko na lines ko para hindi ako mapagsabihan.”

At the presscon of “Tween Academy: Class of 2012”, Kuya Germs personally talked to Bea and asked her to distance herself from Derrick Monasterio who’s being linked to her so her love team with his ward, Jake Vargas, won’t suffer.

How does she feel about this? “Okay lang. Sinabihan ko rin naman si Derrick na huwag na lang manligaw kasi naaapektuhan ang fans ng love team namin ni Jake. Nakinig naman siya. Kung serious, he can wait naman when I’m 18, e 14 pa lang ako ngayon.”

In “Pahiram ng Isang Ina”, Bea plays Berna, an orphan who grows up with her little brother Andoy (Martin de los Santos) abused by their cruel (Shyr Valdes.) They find a friend in the rich but kind businesswoman, Emily (Carmina Villaroel). When Emily is hurt in a kidnap try, she becomes catatonic and her long lost ex-husband (Antonio Aquitania) suddenly surfaces and wants to get her wealth for himself. Emily’s friend, Andrea (Maxene Magalona), presents Bea and Martin as Emily’s son to prevent Antonio from stealing Emily’s wealth. Directed by Joel Lamangan, this tearjerker will surely liven up you afternoons starting Monday after “Eat Bulaga”.
