Marian Rivera having problem with her killer schedule

MARIAN RIVERA’S past shows are adaptations from komiks novels or other TV shows like “Marimar”, “Endless Love”, “Dyesebel”, and “Darna”. “That’s why I’m now excited with ‘Amaya’ as this is my first series that’s originally created for TV,” she says. “First epicserye rin ito and I’m so awed na pilot week pa lang namin, ginastusan na ng GMA-7 ng more than P10 million. Sa research, production design, costume, sets pa lang, malaki na talaga ang budget.”

Is she pressured because of this? “Yes, but I don’t want to think about it. I just consider it a challenge for me to double up my efforts para mas galingan ko ang trabaho ko. Sa bagay, lahat naman kami ng kasama ko sa cast and crew, sa nakikita naming gastos ng istasyon sa project na ito, talagang we resolved to cooperate with Direk Mac Alejandro to make ‘Amaya’ something really special for the viewers. Even the story is unique. Half sisters kami rito nina Glaiza de Castro and Rochelle Pangilinan. We’re all princesses, pero itinago kami inside a cave as it’s predicted that one of us will kill the king. When we grew up, nagkaiba-iba ang kapalaran namin. Ako, naging uripong, which is what they call a slave then. Later on, magiging female warrior naman ako sa I took up arnis lessons dahil arnis ang weapon ko rito. Iba-iba ang locations namin, meron sa Subic, sa Pagsanjan rain forest, sa beaches of Bolinao in Pangasinan, sa Tanay, and a special set for the interiors in a studio built in Marilao, Bulacan. Ang problema ko is my schedule. Kasi, dapat, natapos ko na yung movie kong ‘Temptation Island’ before I start taping for ‘Amaya’. Kaso, hindi pa tapos and we still have to go back to the sand dunes of Ilocos for the resumption of the ‘Temptation Island’. We don’t know kung paano isisingit yun ganitong sunod-sunod na ang tapings ko for ‘Amaya’.”
