Heart said she saw the original film at the home of Solenn Heussaff. “That was even before Solenn joined showbiz. We’ve known each other for a long time na. We both didn’t know na one day, magkakasama pala kami sa remake nito. Our friends really love ‘Temptation Island’, kaya I really want to be part of the remake especially now that they gave me the role of the virgin originally played by Dina Bonnevie.”
Doesn’t shooting in the sand dunes remind her of someone else? “Oh yes. Pero ang tagal na noon.”
We’re referring to Jericho Rosales, with whom she got hooked while they were shooting “Ang Panday” in Ilocos as a TV series. Now, she has a new leading man, Aljur Abrenica. How is it working with him? “Sobrang bait. Sa kissing scene namin, sabi ko, Aljur, don’t open your mouth, ha. Sabi naman niya, yes, ma’am. Gentleman siya.”
Won’t her BF Daniel Matsunaga get jealous? “Bakit, e nauna pa nga siya sa’kin? He had kissing scenes before with Kris Bernal (Aljur’s ka-love team), so okay lang. Actually, nagulat sina Direk Chris Martinez and Ms. Roselle Monteverde when they watched the rushes, ang ganda raw pala ng chemistry namin ni Aljur on screen. I really enjoy making this film kasi magkakasundo kaming lahat nina Solenn, Marian Rivera, Lovi Poe and Rufa Mae Quinto. They say magkakaroon ng patalbugan sa set, paseksihan, but nothing like that happened. Walang competition. Walang pa-star. Masaya kaming lahat and everyone cooperates to make sure this will be a good movie.”
She feels sad that “Dwarfina” is ending this week. “I’ll have pleasant memories of doing this show kasi the public really enjoyed watching me playing a dwarf. Kahit sa U.S., ang dami nitong followers. As the show ends on Friday, abangan nila as there are more exciting twists and turns in the story. I also figure in a lot of action scenes na ngayon ko lang ginawa so nahirapan talaga ako rito.”
