GMA Artist center shoots new TV plug to promote their stars

GMA ARTISTS CENTER just shot a new plug for 56 of their 140 talents that will start airing during Holy Week. GMAAC boss Ida Henares says this is just one of their moves to help promote their talents. “After this, we’ll launch our black book catalogue at Republiq in Resorts World on May 29,” she says. “Then we’ll have a big event in July in coordination with Tim Yap who’s one of our consultants now.”

We’ve seen the fotos for the catalogue taken by Doc Marlon and they’re really stunning. All the artists are projected in a new light. The fotos that impressed us most were those of Iza Calzado (she’s never been more dazzling), Mike Tan (so dashing and debonair he’s ripe for a leading man role), Princess Snell (so incredibly sexy), Aljur Abrenica (looking impossibly handsome), Enzo Pineda (projected like Peter Parker in Spiderman), and real life couple Paulo Avelino and LJ Reyes (in a very sexy shot). At the shoot of the GMAAC plug, present were no less than five stylists to make sure all the artists are properly garbed and made up: Liz Uy, Ton Lau, AJ Alberto, Nat Manilag and Milette Arzaga. “It’s very expensive to do this but GMA is leaving no stone unturned to make sure our talents get nothing but the best for the public and advertisers to see them at their most glamorous,” says Ms. Henares. “For this plug, we chose only those who are active now to help push their own shows. It’s just so difficult to gather all of the as some are busy taping on location, like Frencheska Farr who’s taping for ‘Captain Barbell’. We’re hoping for a one day shoot lang to save on the cost but it looks like we’ll have one more day to accommodate those who’re absent.”

Her own daughter, Stephanie Henares, just played a villain role in “Machete”. How did she find her acting? “I wasn’t able to see all of it as I come home late but the little that I saw, I think she did okay. I really have mixed feelings about her being in this line of work. As a mom, I’d rather she does other things, but as Tim Yap said, just let her do what she wants to enrich her life. It’s a case of damned if you and damned if you don’t so just let her be. So far, even the director and the people she worked with says she did fine.”
