Elmo Magalona and Julie Ann Jose: sweet on and off cam

ELMO MAGALONA and Julie Ann San Jose were presented in the GMA Artists Center plug as a young couple dancing together so it’s pretty obvious they’re really being built up as a love team after their duets in “Party Pilipinas” clicked with the viewers. Now, they’ll appear together in the new GMA-7 sitcom, “Andres de Saya”. “I will play Iza Calzado’s younger brother na makulit at mayabang and Julie Ann is my love interest,” says Elmo. “Sana nga, suportahan ng audience ang aming love team dito.”

Their followers call them the JuEl love team and are praying they’ll really hook up in real life and not just on screen. “Ay, hindi muna siguro,” says Julie Ann. “We’re too young kasi 16 lang siya and 15 ako, so we should have other priorities, like studies and work. As of now, good friends na lang muna kami.”

Do they go out on dates? “No, we’re just too busy. Nagkakasama lang kami sa show or when we do out of town shows, but with the other hosts ng ‘Party Pilipinas’. Never na kaming dalawa lang. But we enjoy working with each and we vowed na mas pagbubutihan pa namin all the musical production numbers they assign us to do. Maraming nagkagusto ng ‘Wasak’ mini-movie naming sa Party Pilipinas, pati si Ms. Regine (Velasquez), and she even said gusto niya gawin talaga yung full length movie.”
