Bea Binene and Jake Vargas in Captain Barbell

FOR A WHILE, the fans of the Bea Binene-Jake Vargas love team felt that their idols were being left behind after Barbie Forteza and Joshua Dionisio, who are still in “Tween Hearts”, were made to topbill their own series, “Nita Negrita”. But now, the Bea-Jake fans can smile again as their idols are given vital roles in “Captain Barbell” where, like title roler Richard Gutierrez, they will also have superpowers.

Unlike Barbie and Joshua who hinted that they might really end up with each other when they become older, looks like no such thing will happen in the case of Bea and Jake. Bea says she has no plans of entertaining any guy who might want to court her as she believes she’s still too young at 13 and wants to really focus more on her showbiz career and her sport, wushu. “But I enjoy being friends with Jake,” Bea quickly adds. “Masaya kami pag magkasama sa taping ng both ‘Tween Hearts’ and ‘Captain Barbell’.”

But we heard the real apple of Jake’s eyes is another co-star, Joanna Marie Tan.
