CONGRATS TO Yeng Constantino for winning five major awards at the recent
MYX Music Awards: Favorite Song, Music Video and Female Artist for "Jeepney Love Story", Favorite Celebrity VJ and Favorite Collaboration with rock band 6Cyclemind and Kean Cipriano for "Kung Wala Na Nga". She has really come a long way from winning as the first Grand Dreamer of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Dream Academy. In her acceptance speech for each award, she got emotional as she invested 100% of herself in producing her album "Lapit" and its award-winning single "Jeepney Love Story". "AKo kasi mismo ang composer ng songs ko, ako rin ang interpreter, at ako rin ang producer pati ng music video," she explains. "The MYX Awards are really a confirmation that I'm accepted not only by the public but also by my peers in the music industry as 40 percent of the votes come from other music artists. Kaya talagang masayang-masaya ako sa mga karangalang ibinigay nila sa akin."
People have noticed that aside from her prodigious musical talent, Yeng has also developed a hip fashion sense as RRJ image model which is evident when she does hosting jobs in "ASAP Rocks" on Sundays and "Music Uplate" on weeknights (where she's currently linked to her musician co-host but she says they're really just good friends).
